Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Policy applies to your use of the Services. This Policy does not necessarily apply to the personal information you provide to us through offline channels. This Policy does not attempt to cover all possible offline methods of collecting or using personal information. However, we will treat any offline collection, use, or disclosure of personal information in a manner consistent with our online practices. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices on any websites that we link or that link to us.


Personal Information We Collect

Information you provide to us:

  • Your contact details and account data if you establish an online account with us (such as your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and password).
  • Additional profile information you may choose to provide (such as date of birth, gender, location, and preferred language).
  • Your payment information if you make a purchase via the Services. We use third-party payment processors to process your payments. These third parties will collect the information necessary to effectuate your transaction with us, such as credit/debit card number, security/CVV code, and expiration date. Our payment processors may handle your payment information in accordance with their own privacy policies. Homary does not have access to your full payment information.
  • Qualification and Tax-related information, such as your industry, your qualification, your entity identification number or your VAT registration number (or similar), if you participate in our business program or are a B2B customer. We will use this information to verify you or your business or prepare tax-related documentation.
  • Your financing information if you apply for financing solutions, such as installment payment offering. As part of your application, we may collect information such as Social Security number, date of birth, and income. Our financing solutions are offered by third-party providers. Your personal information will be used by these financing providers in accordance with their own privacy policies.
  • Your communications and contact history with us (such as emails, text messages, service call recordings, chat and instant messages, or communications with our social media channels).
  • Other information you choose to provide (such as product reviews, forum posts, survey responses, participation in promotions, and other user-generated content, including, but not limited to, images you upload).

  • Financing providers. By choosing to apply for a financing solution offered by a third-party financing provider, you direct us to disclose certain personal information to that provider to facilitate your application. Blogs, Reviews, and Forums

The Services may from time to time offer publicly-accessible blogs, reviews, or forums. Any information you provide in these spaces may be read, collected, and used by others who access them. To request removal of your information from blogs, customer reviews, or forums, please see the Your Privacy Rights and Choices part of this Policy. Please note that in some cases we may be unable to remove your information.


Social Media Plugins

The Sites and the Apps use social plugins, which allow you to interact with us through your Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social media accounts. If you visit a page on our Sites or Apps that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to those social media site’s webservers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by the social media site directly to your browser and incorporated by the social media site into the Sites or Apps. By integrating the plugins, the social media site receives the information that your browser has accessed on the corresponding page of our Sites or Apps, even if you do not have an account or are currently not logged in to your account with us. We have no control over the extent and use of information that the social media site collects using this plugin.

If you interact with a social media plugin by, for example, clicking a "Like" button or leaving a comment, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to the social media server and stored there. Depending on your settings, the information will also be posted on the social media site and displayed to your contacts or friends on the social media site. Our Security Measures

We use appropriate technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized use, disclosure, and loss. We use encryption technology to protect personal information in certain areas of our Sites during transmission across the Internet.

We encourage you to take reasonable measures to protect your password and your computer to prevent unauthorized access to your account. Remember to sign out of your account and close your browser window if you are using a shared computer in a public place.

While our business is designed with safeguarding your personal information in mind, please remember that 100% security does not presently exist anywhere, online or offline.


Data Retention

We will keep your information for as long as you have an account or as long as we need it to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected or disclosed to you at the time of collection. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Modify your account information. If you have a Homary account, you can review and update certain account information by logging into your account. You may also contact us to request deletion of your account. If we delete your account, you will not be able to access it.

Opt-out of marketing communications

  • Email marketing. With your consent, we may send you marketing communications to the email address you provide in order to inform you about our latest products, promotions, news, or other updates that may be of interest to you. If you have previously purchased a product or service from us, we may also send you marketing emails about similar products or services, unless you choose to opt out. You may withdraw your consent or unsubscribe at any time by following the “unsubscribe” link included in our emails or by contacting us via our online customer service or at service@homary.com. Once you opt out, we will promptly update our records to ensure that you no longer receive marketing communications from us via email. Please note that even if you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send you transactional or service-related communications (such as order updates). If you use multiple names or e-mail addresses, you may continue to receive communications with any names or email addresses not specified in your opt-out request.
  • Text-message marketing. With your consent, we may send you recurring automated or personalized promotional text messages (e.g., cart reminders, special offers) at the telephone number you provide. Consent to receive such messages is not a condition of purchase. We may use information collected from the Services to personalize and recommend products or offers based on your interests, consistent with this Policy. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying “STOP” to any of our text messages. For assistance, please reply “HELP”. Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier.   • Telephone call marketing. We may collect your telephone number to provide and support the Services, including processing and fulfilling your orders, arranging delivery, and contacting you for customer service purposes. Personal Information Requests. Depending on your location and the nature of your interactions with our Services, you may request the following in relation to your personal information:

  • Information about how we have collected, disclosed, and used your personal information. We have made this information available to you without having to request it by including it in this Policy.
  • Access to a copy of the personal information that we have collected about you. Where applicable, we will provide the information in a portable, machine-readable, readily-usable format and you can transmit this data to a third party—provided that exercising this right does not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others.
  • Correction of personal information that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Deletion of personal information that we no longer need to provide the Services or for other lawful purposes.

When sending us a request, please describe the right you are exercising and how you would like us to assist. Before responding to your request, you may need to verify your identity data or provide other data to help us confirm your identity and that you are entitled to request what you have asked for. These are security measures to ensure we do not disclose personal information to unauthorized individuals or process personal information in an unauthorized manner. We may also contact you to ask for additional information about your request to clarify the scope of the request and speed up our response. We will respond to requests to exercise privacy rights in accordance with applicable laws.

We will never discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights, but you may lose access to certain functionality or the ability to interact with certain programs or offers due to changes in the personal information we have access to after complying with your privacy requests.

In some instances, your choices may be limited, such as where fulfilling your request would impair the rights of others, our ability to provide a service you have requested, or our ability to comply with our legal obligations and enforce our legal rights.

If you are not satisfied with how we address your requests, you may have the right to file a complaint with your local data privacy authority.

Close Your Account

You may request that we permanently close your Homary account and delete your data. Once your account is closed, you will be unable to access all products and services associated with your account on any device (including PCs, mobile devices, and applications). This includes account information, wishlists, reviews, coupons, subscriptions, order history, returns, and refunds.

When you submit the request to close your account, our customer service will contact you within 48 hours via email to confirm the reason for closing, the historical orders and after-sales records of your current account. You are required to respond within 5 days to complete the verification process.

Generally, it takes 30 business days to close an account from the date we receive the request. However, if you have ongoing orders before submitting your request, we recommend closing your account after the orders are completed. If there are no unfinished historical orders or after-sales records, we will permanently close your account and delete your data within 30 business days.

Please note that account closure is a permanent action. Once your account is closed, it will no longer be available to you and cannot be restored. If you decide to use our Services again, you will need to create a new account.


Global Data Transfer

We may transfer your personal information to our affiliates and service providers around the world. Please note that data protection laws of one jurisdiction may not be as comprehensive as those laws or regulations in your country or may otherwise differ from the laws in your country. When we engage in cross-border data transfers, we will ensure that relevant safeguards are in place to afford adequate protection for personal information, and we will comply with applicable data protection laws.
